Description
Rhodiola (Rhodiola rosea) is indigenous to the Arctic and Alpine regions of Europe, Asia and America and has long been used as a tonic by many cultures, including the Ancient Greeks. Rhodiola is generally known as an “adaptogen,” a term which refers to any agent possessing the ability to support the body’s natural capacity to adapt to life’s changing conditions. NOW® Rhodiola is standardized to 3% Total Rosavins and min. 1% Salidroside.
Suggested Use
Recommended Use: Used in Herbal Medicine to help relieve temporary symptoms of stress (such as mental fatigue and sensation of weakness) and to support cognitive function (such as mental focus and mental stamina).
Recommended Dose: Adult Dosage: Take 1 capsule once daily on an empty stomach. Not to be taken immediately before bedtime.
Cautions & Warnings: Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking anti-depressant medication, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), or birth control pills. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have bipolar disorder or bipolar spectrum disorders. May cause irritability and insomnia, in which case, discontinue use.
