Description
Passion Flower (Passiflora incarnata) has been used for centuries by Native North and South Americans to promote a calm mood. More recent scientific studies have indicated that certain constituents of Passion Flower may offer temporary relief from nervousness and feelings of stress. Passion Flower extracts have been shown to aid in relaxation, and to alleviate occasional, but minor tenseness and restlessness.
Suggested Use
Recommended Use: Traditionally used in Herbal Medicine as a sleep aid (in cases of restlessness or insomnia due to mental stress).
Recommended Dose: Adult Dosage: Take 1 capsule 1 to 2 times daily as needed.
Cautions & Warnings: Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen, if sleeplessness persists continuously for more than 3 weeks. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Consumption with alcohol, other medications or natural health products with sedative properties is not recommended. Hypersensitivity (e.g. allergy) has been known to occur; in which case discontinue use. Some people may experience drowsiness. Exercise caution if operating heavy machinery, driving a motor vehicle or involved in activities requiring mental alertness.
